 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Freelance Computer/Internet Consultant, Brandon, FL
Freelance Consultant  (2001 - Now)
Installing, maintaining and upgrading networked computer systems. Also webdesign and administration for various clients. Results: Doubled or tripled their product/service bundle and/or revenues. As of 2004 I work on an on-call contract basis for two consultancy firms, TekSystems and TacWorldWide. Some of the projects I have done for them are:

TekSystems

February 2005 – Server and workstation installs for Pep Boys
As Technical Project Team Leader I was in charge of a team consisting of 2 technicians and 1 cable technician charged with installing new servers, workstation, printers and PoS terminals at PepBoys locations. My duties included managing my team, installing the servers, the new network box, troubleshooting any problems that arose as well as interfacing with the store manager and his associates as well as PepBoys DSC. This project lasted well over 3 months and I was responsible for installing over 20 stores (in the Florida, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Puerto Rico markets) succesfully.

November 2004 – Computer migration for Gambro Healthcare.
As a subcontractor I replaced existing systems with new Dell desktops as well as migrating existing applications and user data. This project was done at several Gambro locations around the Tampa Bay area. My duties also included interfacing with the local staff, training them in the use of Windows XP as well as solving any other IT related issues they might have.

October 2004 - Desktop Support and LAN Administration at KB Home Tampa Division.
I substituted for the regular administrator who had been out for over a month due to illness, for a week. Making sure all incidents were caught up so he would not be swamped upon his return the next week. Doing desktop support both for local and remote users. The latter either remotely or on site depending on the issue. As well as setting up/fixing Windows 2000/2003 and XP machines and resolving network (LAN/WAN) issues. From troubleshooting routers/switches to the installation of the same to verifying connectivity of the physical network.

August 2004 – Laptop migration for Homebanc.
A project similar to the one at JP Morgan. Migrating users from old laptops running NT 4.0/Win2k to new units running XP professional. My duties included backing up user files from the old laptops, installing and configuring the new unit, migrating the data and ensuring (QC) the correct functioning of all applications and the integrity of the migrated data.

August 2004 - Server upgrades at Sam's Club.
As a subcontractor I upgraded Dell servers with more memory and a different OS. Ensuring network integrity during and after the upgrade to ensure no hiatus in network/server performance would be experienced by the staff as they were doing their work during the upgrade.

TacWorldWide

December 2004 – present – Deployment at JP Morgan IMPB.
As a subcontractor I was hired to be lead technician/project manager for the installation and deployment of new systems as well as the upgrade of existing ones at various JP Morgan Private Banking sites such as West Palm Beach, Atlanta and Miami. My responsibilities included but were not limited to interfacing with the client's IT manager, overseeing and managing from 3 to 8 technicians, quality control and next day support for the client's users.

June 2004 - present - Installation and Deployment at JP Morgan/Chase.
As a subcontractor, I participated in the installation and deployment of over 200 new systems at JP Morgan/Chase. As well as migrating existing systems to the latest OS and or hardware. Including day 1 desktop support for JP Morgan/Chase users. This included the installation of brand new workstations, flat panel LCD screens and assorted peripherals. Migrating existing workstations from NT 4.0/2000 to XP and doing QC for these migrations. Also doing day 1 support for migrated users, solving any issues they may have. On a related project for JPM I participated in the rollout and user support for mobile users. This consisted of configuring and quality checking laptops, migrating the date from the old units as well as doing one on one support for the user, solving any problems and helping them master the new hardware and software. Currently I am the Lead Technician for the project.

August 2004 / October 2004 - Installation and Deployment of workstations at AG Edwards.
As a subcontractor I participated in the installation and deployment new systems at several AG Edwards branches. Both workstations and servers. This project entailed the replacement of old workstations with new ones as well as the installation/configuration of new servers and the removal of old ones. My duties included ensuring proper functioning of the workstations, servers and network. As well as quality control to ensure everything was functioning as desired by the client.

August 2004 / September 2004 System - Upgrade and Data Migration for Wachovia.
